Mineski pulls out of DreamLeague season 9 qualifiers

Mineski has unexpectedly dropped out of the DreamLeague Season 9 Minor SEA qualifiers just a day before they were due to play.

No specific reason has been disclosed for the last minute change of plans as of yet although the news comes right on the heels of the team clinching a spot in the EPICENTER XL Major slated for the end of April, and there is no doubt that the SEA team were swamped with fixtures at the moment.

Their February began with the StarLadder iLeague Invitational S4 Minor in Shanghai in which they placed 3-4th, then the DAC 2018 Major qualifiers which they claimed the coveted spot after sweeping through TnC 2:0 and then two days later began their group stage phase of EPICENTER XL, finishing up just yesterday with another 2:0 sweep over TnC.

Additionally, the team will be heading out to Poland for ESL One Katowice Major un one week before packing their bags for Romania to participate in the PGL Bucharest Major starting March 4th.

In short, Mineski would almost have no time to practice, rest and recuperate and deal with any other matters that might need to be addressed.

Still, the team has been in performing in top form as the SEA kings with an impressive Pro Circuit 2017-2018 season so far, accumulating 900 DPC points as a team — enough to slide into 6th place in the rankings.

In the meantime, Geek Fam has already to fill the void left behind by Mineski’s sudden departure and will face off against Fnatic later today in the best of three upper bracket series.
